An exceptionally pretty pair of Baltic-style candelabra with the traditional ‘Bristol Blue’ stem piece and a marble base.

A cascade of Baltic lozenges swag from a shower at the top.   The swags join onto a pierced floral ring and terminate with a row of pear shaped droplets of the highest quality.

This shape originated in the Baltic region in the late 18th century and the St Petersburg Imperial Glassworks produced some of the finest ever created for the Russian elite.  A pair from this date would cost you as much as a decent family car so my pair is a more affordable way to enjoy a piece of history.
